Marlie's pissing me off deciding what Lianne does or doesn't deserve from Veronica. I'm glad that Veronica is sharing more with Marlie though, even if it's just a condensed version of what happened with Lianne. It's sad that Veronica didn't call Marlie, but it's obvious that V sees this as a very personal betrayal. Veronica gave up the last vestiges of teenage freedom to raise her absentee mother's baby, and now the baby who she raised wants to go back to the fuck-up who abandoned her? But phones work both ways, Marlie could call Logan or Veronica if she wanted. I'm sure they're still footing her cell phone bill.

I love this story, and I'm so glad you update so frequently! I actually had a dream about this story last night, I don't remember the contents exactly, but I think I was Veronica in my dream, and pulling Marlie out of a shady bar away from Lianne.
